Mon 29th Jan Pancake Day

As we are all moving on from melbourne and the gang are splitting up we decided to move pancake day forward a month. We were going to stick with tradition and keep it on a tuesday but shell is at work so we moved it forward a day and had pancake monday, catch hey!!

sunday 28th Jan Australian Royalty

Carrying on from the tourist thing from yesterday we went to victoria parliament bulding and then to the national gallery of victoria before heading into the Dame Edna Everidge exhibition. Me and Danny then went to see the Austalian Queens show, which was a bit slow in the first half but very funny the second. Then at the flat i got a bit creative and started playing with some of the bottle tops we have collected, ashamed (or proud, depending on which way u look at it) to say though, that the bottle tops shown are only about half the amount that weve all managed to drink and save.

Sat 27th Jan Touristy stuff

Me and Danny got the free tram around to the voctoria markets then docklands, and then onto captain cooks parents cottage house that they dismantled in Yarkshire and rebuilt it in one of the parks in Melbourne. We then took a walk through the botanic garden and then to the war memorial before heading back knackered from all the walking.

Australia Day night out

Yard of Ale, fireworks over Federation Square in Town and then onto a house party.

Australia Day BBQ

When in Australia, do as the Australians do!! And have a barbie, folloed by a sauna and jacuzzi. As well as trhe flat mate, Lauren and Liam (who were on our flight on the way over to oz) came around and danny my mate i met in Brisbane flew down from Sydney for the weekend. The burgers were a little hard and manky so we used skewers and made them into tennis rackets, well it was the final of the Australian open in Melbourne this weekend after all.
